No — MilliMount is a spacer that goes between your siding and the Hoselink wall bracket. It replaces Hoselink's flat backing board with one that actually matches your siding profile.

Any lap siding (also called clapboard or horizontal plank siding). That includes vinyl, James Hardie / HardiePlank, fiber cement, wood clapboard, LP SmartSide, and composite. If your siding has overlapping horizontal boards with a step between them, MilliMount works with it.
No. Standard lag screws into your wall studs — same installation as Hoselink's own instructions. The holes are already aligned.
